Meet Sarah—A leadership professional, coach, and fellow traveler on the path of learning and transformation.
Sarah Maxwell, PhD, is the founder of White Owl Advisory, an organizational psychologist, and lifelong student of human potential. For more than 25 years, she has helped individuals, leaders, teams, and organizations navigate growth, change, complexity, and transition.
Her work brings together the practical and the personal—the science of human behavior and systems thinking with mindfulness, intuitive insight, and timeless wisdom traditions. She believes meaningful transformation happens when we pause, look within, broaden our perspective, and reconnect with our own inner guidance.

Sarah's coaching style is an intuitive blend of evidence-based practice, thoughtful inquiry, and deep presence. She meets each client where they are, adapting to what emerges in the moment rather than following a prescribed formula. Her role is not to tell you who to be or what to do. It is to create a space where you can think deeply, explore honestly, listen more closely to your inner wisdom, and align with what matters most.
She brings curiosity, compassion, and unconditional acceptance to the coaching relationship, helping clients feel seen, heard, and safe enough to discover new possibilities. A seasoned meditator, mindfulness teacher, lifelong yoga student and instructor, Sarah also draws from contemplative practices and her own experiences of spiritual opening to support greater awareness of the mind, body, and whole self.

Sarah created White Owl Advisory as an expression of a simple belief: each of us has more wisdom, creativity, and capacity within us than we often have the opportunity to access.
Her own path has been shaped by positive psychology, organizational life, meditation, yoga, writing, nature, relationships, and a profound trust in the quieter forms of knowing that emerge when we become still enough to listen. There is something deeper connecting it all.
White Owl brings these worlds together—not to prescribe a particular way of seeing, but to create space for expanded awareness, intentional growth, and a deeper way forward.
Gentle illumination. Compassionate inquiry. Intentional change.

Sometimes the answers are clear, but often the way forward is hard to see. In those times, the world speaks to us quietly, offering guidance through symbolism and synchronicity.
In 2015, during a silent meditation teacher training retreat, a barn owl landed on Sarah's windowsill at sunrise. It spread its wings, pressed its body against the glass, and held Sarah's gaze for what felt like an unmistakable invitation: pay attention.
Since then, owls have continued to appear at meaningful moments in Sarah's life—often when she is being invited to pause, look inward, and listen more closely.
For Sarah, the white owl signifies wisdom, illumination, higher perspective, and the courage to see beyond what is known. It is a fitting symbol for her work with others: creating space for presence and opening to what becomes possible when we learn to trust our own inner knowing.

Whether you're navigating a personal transition, seeking greater clarity or direction in your work, or looking for deeper support as a leader, let's begin a conversation.
